Membership Eligibility
Full Membership Requirements
To qualify for Full Membership in the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®, applicants must provide verifiable proof of service in a combat theater or combat-support operation.
This is typically confirmed through official documentation such as a DD-214, showing award of recognized campaign medals, expeditionary medals, or combat action awards.

The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (AFEM) may qualify on a case-by-case basis.
The AFEM is awarded for participation in operations involving foreign armed opposition or imminent hostile action, even if direct combat did not occur.
Applicants must demonstrate that the award is clearly tied to qualifying combat or combat-support operations.
Support Membership Eligibility
Individuals who do not meet the requirements for Full Membership may qualify as Support Members if they:
• Are honorably discharged veterans of the United States Armed Forces, or

Support Members must provide proof of honorable service (such as a DD-214 or current military ID).
Verification Requirement
All applicants must provide official documentation (e.g., DD-214 or equivalent service records) to verify eligibility. Final determination of eligibility is subject to review in accordance with CVMA® National and Chapter guidelines.
