Gas card Program

WHY FUEL MATTERS

For many combat veterans, riding a motorcycle is far more than recreation. Riding provides a proven outlet for managing PTSD and combat-related stress, improving mental health through focus and movement, and restoring camaraderie, purpose, and connection after military service. Group rides, chapter meetings, and veteran-focused events create a critical peer-support environment. Rising fuel costs, however, can present a real barrier — particularly for veterans traveling long distances across Central Oregon to attend meetings, funerals, missions, and community events. Gas card donations directly assist CVMA members by easing the burden of travel from point A to point B and ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent a veteran from staying connected and supported.

HOW YOUR BUSINESS MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Your financial contribution helps:
• Support the mental health and wellbeing of combat veterans
• Encourage positive coping and healing through riding
• Strengthen veteran engagement and peer support
• Directly benefit veterans within our local community

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Gas cards will be distributed discreetly to veterans in need through CVMA® 29-8 leadership. Cards may be used for motorcycles or vehicles. Gas Cards may also be used to assist veterans in traveling to chapter meetings, chapter events, and community service activities. A portion of gas cards may be utilized as raffle items during chapter meetings to incentivize participation, encourage attendance, and create a fun, engaging way to increase member involvement. Records will be maintained for transparency while protecting veteran privacy.

RECOGNITION & PARTNERSHIP BENEFITS

As a thank-you for your support, participating businesses will:
• Be publicly recognized on our chapter social media platforms
• Be listed as a preferred business supported by CVMA® members
• Receive ongoing promotion and patronage from our membership and their families

Our members take pride in supporting businesses that stand behind veterans.
